Production Process of Abrasive Powder

Raw materials

The raw materials for producing fused alumina powder should be fine powder made by grinding first grade wfa blocks. The first level fixed furnace white fused alumina block is more excellent.

Grinding process

Grinding corundum blocks takes more than 20 hours. And the grinding medium is alumina balls. After grinding, the amount of white corundum powder is small, with a particle size range of 63 microns to 0.5 microns.

Overflow siphon process

The coarse white fused alumina powder 240mesh- 600mesh is classified using overflow classification method. The finer white fused powder 700 mesh – 10000 mesh production is a siphon process. More precise particle range control is beneficial for improving the uniformity of the powder.

Precipitation drying process

Natural precipitation is used to completely precipitate the powder suspension and remove moisture. Then, it is dried in a high-temperature kiln to control residual moisture. Finally, sieve and loosen the corundum powder to maintain its looseness and prevent agglomeration.
