Description

The core functions of poly aluminium chloride for paper making:

Neutral sizing precipitant for rosin sizing

In the paper sizing process, traditional rosin sizing is carried out under acidic conditions, while polyaluminium chloride can be used as a neutral sizing precipitant in combination with rosin sizing agents and aluminium sulfate. Its positively charged polymeric ions interact with the negatively charged surface of rosin sizing particles, forming stable complexes and precipitating on the fiber surface, thereby providing the paper with good water resistance and avoiding the corrosion of equipment and damage to paper strength caused by acidic sizing.

Retention and drainage aid

During the papermaking process, fine particles such as fibers and fillers (such as calcium carbonate and talc) are prone to loss with white water. Polyaluminium chloride, through electro-neutralization and bridging effects, causes these fine particles to coagulate into larger flocs, enhancing their binding force with fibers. This increases the retention rate of fillers and fine fibers, reducing raw material waste. At the same time, the floc structure improves the drainage performance of the pulp, speeds up the dewatering process, and enhances the production efficiency of the paper machine.

Anionic impurity capture agent

Paper pulp often contains anionic impurities such as resins and lignin derivatives, which can affect the stability of the pulp and the quality of the paper, and even cause "resin problems" (such as roller sticking and paper defects). The positive charge of polyaluminium chloride can combine with anionic impurities to form insoluble precipitates for removal, effectively controlling resin problems and ensuring smooth production.

Improving paper properties

Appropriate use of polyaluminium chloride can enhance the strength of the paper (such as tensile strength and burst resistance), smoothness and gloss, while reducing the hygroscopicity of the paper, thereby improving the overall quality of the paper.

Poly Aluminum Chloride For Paper Making Application Scenarios And Features

Cultural paper

Such as newsprint, writing paper, etc., used to improve sizing effect and fiber retention rate, and reduce production costs.

Packaging paper

Such as kraft paper, boxboard, etc., to enhance the water resistance and strength of the paper, meeting the performance requirements of packaging materials.

Specialty paper

In the production of decorative paper, release paper, etc., it can assist in regulating the properties of the pulp and ensure the special functions of the paper (such as weather resistance, peelability).

Compared with traditional additives (such as aluminum sulfate), the advantages of poly aluminum chloride for paper making are a wider applicable pH range (neutral to weakly alkaline), less corrosive to equipment; more significant retention effect in high ash content pulp; can reduce white water pollution and meet environmental protection requirements.

Storage conditions: Solid products should be stored in a dry and ventilated place to prevent moisture absorption and caking; liquid products need to be protected from freezing to avoid affecting their stability.
