It is one of the core materials for the anti-aging and weather resistance of outdoor power transmission and transformation equipment.

Aluminum hydroxide Appearance and form

Pure white fine powder, with controllable particle size (usually 5-20μm), uniform powder without lumps, which is convenient for uniform mixing with base materials such as silicone rubber. It has moderate hardness. After filling, it can improve the mechanical strength and aging resistance of insulators. Meanwhile, its density is relatively low, reducing the overall weight.

Aluminum hydroxide Excellent electrical performance

Aluminum hydroxide features high insulation resistance (≥10¹⁴Ω) and low dielectric constant (2.4-2.6), which can effectively suppress arc breakdown and enhance the insulator's resistance to leakage tracking in damp and dirty environments.

Aluminum hydroxide Flame retardancy and high-temperature resistance

When decomposing at 220-350℃, it releases crystalline water, absorbs heat and dilutes flammable gases. The flame retardant grade can reach UL94 V-0, meeting the fire protection requirements of outdoor high-voltage equipment.

Mechanical and weather resistance performance enhancement

After filling, it can enhance the tensile strength (by 10%-15%) and tear strength of the silicone rubber matrix. At the same time, it is resistant to ultraviolet rays and ozone aging, and can adapt to extreme temperature environments ranging from -40℃ to +120℃.

Environmental protection and compatibility

It is non-metallic materials, non-toxic and harmless,It has excellent chemical compatibility with substrates such as silicone rubber and epoxy resin, and there is no risk of precipitation or cracking during long-term use.

The Application Scenarios Of Aluminum Hydroxide For Composite Insulator

 

Application fields

10kV-1000kV high-voltage composite insulators (suspension, post, cross arm, etc.), insulators for rail transit, insulating components for wind power equipment.

Process adaptation

Suitable for extrusion molding, compression molding and other processes. The recommended addition amount is 30%-50% (by weight) of the base material, which can be adjusted according to mechanical strength requirements.

Packing

 

 

Packed in moisture-proof paper bags or plastic woven bags and lined with polyethylene film bags inside to prevent moisture or impurities from mixing in during transportation.

Some high-purity or special-specification products may be packed in sealed steel drums or vacuum-packed to further ensure the stability of product performance.

Packaging Specifications

The common packaging specifications are 25kg per bag or ton bags (1000kg per bag), which are convenient for loading, unloading and transportation. Customized packaging can also be provided according to customer requirements.

Transportation Precautions

The transportation vehicle should be kept dry and clean, and avoid being mixed with corrosive substances such as water, acids and alkalis to prevent the products from getting damp or undergoing chemical reactions.

Shelf Life Management

Aluminum hydroxide itself has relatively stable chemical properties, but long-term exposure to moisture will still affect its performance. Generally, it is recommended to store it for no more than 12 months. When using it, follow the "first in, first out" principle to ensure the freshness of the product.
